L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows in Forever Pink + Flashback Silver (Swatch + Review)

I actually already own 3 of these (Goldmine, Eternal Black and Sahara Treasure) back in Melbourne. I'm not going to go too much in detail about them because they’ve been on the market for a while. So these are pressed pigments. At first i thought they were cream eyeshadows but they’re actually made of powder and incredibly soft. If you press too hard, it will crumble. It comes with a flattener to keep it from drying out and well, pressed.

Both of these have shimmer finishes. I love love love Flashback Silver, it has a hint of taupe and purple. I’ve been using it as an all over lid color or in my inner corners and it’s just so flattering, it matches my hair too c:
Forever Pink and Flashback Silver in natural light indoors - heavily swatched and blended out
The pigmentation on these are really great, i just use my fingers to apply and a brush to blend out and I'm good for the day. They are incredibly long-lasting - I haven’t tested the 24 hr hold claim and nor do i plan to but I’ve never experienced creasing with these. They've been my go-to here in HK, especially in this weather with the heat and humidity, it's hard to find something that lasts the entire day but this does the job.
I also love the packaging, it doesn’t look cheap at all and i like that you can see the color through the lid.
I know that these are incredibly expensive in Australia for a drugstore product (around $20?) but if there’s ever a deal or if you ever stumble upon these overseas, i think it’s worth picking up a color or two that you would use often. On days when i feel lazy, i like to use these just all over my eyelid and it takes me like 5 seconds so it’s really convenient.
I’m really interested in trying the Maybelline Color 24 Hour Eyeshadows too, just to see how it compares, i think the only color i’d be interested in is Tough as Taupe though. I haven't seen this in HK and i'm sure it's super expensive in Australia so i might have a look online.

Do you own any of the L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows or Maybelline Color 24 Hour Eyeshadows? What do you think?

  1. I've got the navy colour of these (forgot what it's called) and it's absolutely gorgeous! Although I always manage to get powder everywhere even though it's meant to be pressed.... I bought mine from Priceline when there was a sale and it was about $13 or something which is still pretty expensive, but the colour was just so pretty!
I have the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe (there's a review somewhere on my blog) which I really like on days where I'm lazy and I'll just sweep it on my lids and blend with my finger, super quick and easy and just gives a bit of dimension to my eyes. I bought mine from eBay, I think it was about $10? Can't remember..but I'm 100000000% sure it will be more expensive in Australia when they're released (which is July yay!). I would love some more of those colours.. they look so bright and fun!! I chose the most wearable and safest option cos I'm boring like that haha.

    1. i like that the Maybelline ones have more matte colors! Most of these L'Oreal ones are shimmery. I haven't been able to find the Maybelline ones here so i think i might have to resort to ebay too!

  2. I own about 7 of the infallibles and I live them. Just bought flashback silver which I'm excited to try. I also own all the neutral colour tattoos and they amazing! They are cream and they last forever. Great and on their own and as a base.
