Nail Polish Stash: Part 6 - Misc (Swatch)

OPI Miami Beet: Rich beetroot red Creme with purple undertones
OPI Hot & Spicy: Light orange creme, photos make it look a lot more orange than it is in real life.
Majolica Majorca OR 213: Orange creme, leans towards peach
OPI Fiercely Fiona: Light creamy yellow with green undertones
WOW, these colors were by far the hardest the capture on camera. I don't think any of these swatches does the colors any justice!! I'm kind of frustrated actually.
Miami Beet is a really unusual color in that it looks different in every light, sometimes it leans more red, other times more purple. This was gifted to me and at first i was really hesitant to try it. Needless to say, with the first stroke, i fell in love!
In the swatches, both Hot & Spicy and OR213 look really similar, in reality the Majolica Majorca one is more creamy and peachy.
Fiercely Fiona is the only yellow nail polish you'll ever see me wear. As an asian with yellow skin tone, its really hard for find a yellow that's suitable on me. This color is so unusual that it just works. I love it so much, it's one of my favorite nail polishes ever!

The next nail polish post will be the last one of my stash, special effects! c:

  2. Thanks for explaining the problems with the photos. I was thinking the two orange shades were dupes for each other.

    I feel you on the yellow problem, I always love yellow but it doesn't love me. I look like I have a dead person's hands when I wear yellows >: I hope one day to find a shade that works for me, if you do you have you share it so we can all be saved (;

  6. I like Fiercely Fiona! I've always found nail wheels to be a bit different in terms of showing the accuracy of a colour when it's actually painted on the nails. They're still a really useful resource and much more convenient than painting your own nails when doing swatches though :)

    1. yeh i get really lazy swatching on my own nails :P especially when there's so many. For some of the colors that didn't show up so well, i might do them on my nails in different lightings this summer, since i'll have plenty of time ^^

  7. I used to have Fiercely Fiona and Hot & Spicy but I lost them when I moved. I always find it to be extra difficult to capture the true colour of nail polished on camera too. >-<
