Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque Review

Hi everyone! Melbourne has been experiencing such beautiful weather these couple of weeks!
Today i have a review of one of my favorite masks ever and a staple of my skin care routine. I actually wrote this up so long ago and forgot to post it :3

While i love using sheet masks and hydrating masks, from time to time, i just need something that will deep clean and unclog my pores and leaved my skin looking refreshed and radiant.
The Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque does exactly that, it deep cleans my pores and draw out all the impurities. Made from Amazonian White Clay, it is known to absorb excess oils and eliminate any bacteria, debris, toxins and dead skin cell accumulation that can leave your skin looking dull. Other key ingredients are oatmeal (to absorb oil) and aloe vera (to soothe the skin).
I use this as an all over masque as well as a spot treatment to calm down any inflammation from blemishes (clay is a drying ingredient so it can reduce swelling or redness).
As an all over masque, i apply a thin layer after a shower (so that my face is clean and my pores are opened up!) and leave it for 8-10 minutes. The sales assistant told me that it really shouldn't be left on the face for more than that amount of time. When the time's up, i use a cloth soaked in luke warm water to gently remove the mask in circular motions, to further exfoliate my skin. Then i apply my toner and moisturizer as per usual.
Afterwards, my skin is visibly brighter, smoother and cleaner. As for pores, they do appear noticeably smaller but this is only temporary as pore size is a genetic thing.
As a spot treatment, i simply use a cotton bud to cover the area with the masque and leave it on overnight to reduce the swelling and size of the blemish. The next day, pimples are notably less red and inflamed.
I use this mask about 1-2 times a week depending on how dull my skin looks. However, during my trips to HK i use this about 2-3 times a week because my skin just feels so clogged up from the pollution!
The consistency of the mask is thick and clay-like, despite this; it glides on very easily and you only need the the smallest amount. There is a slight chalk scent but it's not overly unpleasant.
This product is tailored for normal - oily skins. If you have dry or sensitive skin, i wouldn't recommend this because it burns on dry patches. If you have combination skin, you might choose to only concentrate around your T-zone. I tend to do this when my skin is on the dryer side as i have combination skin but usually, as an all over masque, it doesn't bother me.
I bought this mask in HK, i can't remember the exact price but it retails for $34AUD at Myer. This may seem like a lot for a mask but honestly, it lasts forever. I've been using mine since i got it at the beginning of the year and as you can see i've only used about 1/4 of it.
I love the way it leaves my skin looking so clear, radiant and healthy. I couldn't recommend this more! I didn't take photos of me using the mask because no one wants to see close ups of my pores haha!
This is my favorite mask out of all my face masks. I have about 6-7 tubs/tubes of masks and i've been thinking of posting up reviews for each of them, only if you're interested to see them though.

What's your favorite mask? Would you be interested in seeing reviews for other masks i use?
